How long does it normally take for an episiotomy to heal? Could the doctor stitch it up too tightly making it painful to have sex?

I didn\'t have an episiotomy so I am unsure but I had stitches - they took a few weeks after birth to heal. If you aren\'t sure if you are healing properly or you are uncomfortable you should head to your OB/GYN or doctor.
